As already described in the article on MHZ.expert entry page, the product configuration and compilation area can be accessed in two ways:

  1. via the "Products" menu item
  2. via the product icons in the left-hand margin

When you select the required product, further submenus are displayed where you can refine the product selection. You then arrive at the product detail page. The next section explains how to use this page.

  1. Product designation:
You can find the exact product designation including the product number here.
  2. 3-D Visualization:
When the product specifications, such as dimensions and hardware colour, are entered, the 3D visualisation adapts accordingly to provide a more accurate representation of the final product. In this visualisation, you can use the small icons to zoom in and out, view the rear and rotate. The dimensions can also be displayed in the visualisation and the product can be viewed open or closed by operating the slider on the right.
NOTE: This visualisation is unfortunately not possible for some products. In these cases a static image is displayed instead.
  3. Price and shopping cart:
The dealer purchase price currently calculated without VAT or the RRP including VAT appears here, depending on which setting is used. After changing values, such as the size for example, the price can be recalculated by pressing the "Update price" button. The configuration can also be reset here. Clicking on the green trolley button adds the configured product to the shopping cart.
  4. Item Commission:
Although this is not a mandatory field, if completed it can help maintain an overview as the content of this field also appears on the delivery note at item level. The customer name or additional characteristics that make classification easier can be entered here, for example. Once the first item has been recorded, this is automatically adopted as header commission in the shopping cart.
  5. Configuration fields:
Different fields are to be completed, depending on the product. Only predefined selections can be made for certain categories via drop-down menus (indicated by a small up/down arrow). User-defined values can, of course, be entered for other categories, e.g. width. To select the fabric, you can enter the fabric number from the catalogue or find the matching fabric by specifying different characteristics via the "Blind colour" button.
  6. Description:
The description provides a short summary of the most important information about the selected product.
  7. Technical specifications:
Here, you will find more detailed information than that provided in the description, including minimum dimensions, special equipment, installation and bundle height.
  8. Documents and downloads:
Information including brochures, price lists, installation instructions and care instructions for the product can be downloaded in PDF format here.
  9. Item designation:
Enter the unique characteristics of the product here to maintain an overview, e.g. "Meier, child's room, right". This is not a mandatory field.
  10. Exposé:
Clicking on this button generates a PDF that has a similar layout to an end customer quotation. It contains your contact details, the 3D visualisation and a short description of the selected product. NO prices are shown in the exposé.
  11. Print control characteristics:
Here, you can choose the details that should appear in the Exposé.
  12. Add to favorites:
If you add the configured product to your favourites. you will be able to retrieve the same configuration at a later date in just a few clicks.
  13. Possible optional accessoires:
The available accessories for the selected product are displayed here and can also be added straight to the shopping basket. The list of accessories can also be downloaded as an Excel file.

Tips and advice

  • If a red exclamation mark appears in the 3D visualisation at the top on the left, the configuration is not yet complete and mandatory fields still need to be filled out.
  • The small "i" next to some fields provides assistance if you are not sure how to complete the field or would like to read some more about it.
  • Have you configured a unit and put it in the shopping basket and now want to configure another unit with the same characteristics but different dimensions? You can then easily make the required changes in the relevant fields and add the new modified unit to the shopping cart.
