Measuring up correctly for glazing bead installation
For models 11-8110, 11-82120, 11-8220, 11-8222, 11-8320 and 11-8370
Glazing bead installation is by far the most frequently chosen type of installation. With this variant, the pleated blind is screwed in place in the narrow bead directly in front of the glass.

Ordering measurements:
Ordering width = glazing bead measurement – 5 mm
Ordering height = glazing bead measurement – 5 mm
Please note:
due to the unit’s depth, the narrow bead directly in front of the pane must be at least 22 mm deep for this type of installation. Mounting the pleated blind too close to the window pane will result in heat from the incident sunlight being trapped and increases the risk of the glass breaking. In order to ensure adequate circulation of air, the gap between pane and blind must be at least 5 mm. We recommend a gap of 10-20 mm
How to measure the glazing bead
To determine the glazing bead dimension, measure the clear height and width of the window glass (including the rubber seal). To account for any window tolerances, always measure the width in several places.

Sloped glazing bead
Where the glazing bead is sloped, measure the width as tightly as possible to the pane, inclusive of the seal.

Straight (rectangular) glazing bead
Where the glazing bead is straight, measure the width from fold to fold.
Glazing bead installation is recommended for:
- Plastic windows
- Wooden windows
- Aluminium windows
