Honeycomb blinds consist of two pleated layers of fabric joined together and fixed between two rail sections. The honeycomb-shaped cavities between the fabric panels form an air cushion that acts as a layer of insulation against heat and cold. As a result of this structure the honeycomb blinds produce soft incoming light and an atmospheric ambience.
Unlike on a pleated blind, the tension cords of a honeycomb blind run inside the cavities. That means no punched holes that the sun can shine through. Together with blackout fabrics the blinds can be used to fully darken bedrooms and living rooms.
In commercial premises and offices the Duette® honeycomb blinds contribute to improved spatial acoustics. They cut down noise by up to 45 percent, make it easier to understand what is being said and make spending time in the room more agreeable.

Honeycomb blinds provide privacy screening and sunshade for rectangular windows and doors, skylights and windows in special shapes. Duette® honeycomb blinds are also ideal for use in humid areas, such as kitchens and bathrooms, in bedrooms and as ceiling blinds in conservatories.
You can operate your honeycomb blind manually or electrically. For the braced blinds you can choose between operating them by plastic or aluminium grip. The free-hanging blinds can be operated manually by chain or cord or by means of a mains- or battery-powered motor.
Pull chain
Lift and lower via operating chain. Blind locks in place automatically. Operating side optionally left or right.
Pull cord
Lift and lower with a pull cord, secured in position via the cord brake. Operating side optionally left or right.
Mains- or battery-powered drive
Raise and lower by 24V electric drive or 12V radio-controlled drive. A range of control options including lock switch, radio remote control, timer and light sensor.
PowerView®
Raise and lower by means of 18 V electric drive or 18 V radio-controlled drive. Various control options including remote control, wall bracket or app.
Dependent upon model, the blind can be fitted to the wall or ceiling. Diverse systems facilitate fitting into the glazing bead. Clamp brackets and glazing bead brackets are available for this. Using the MHZ adhesive set or MHZ window clip, the blind can be fitted without any drilling or screws.
